Am I annoying? Am I hot?

Am i beautiful?

Am i beautiful?

Am I annoying? Am I hot? Am I sexy? Am I demanding? How many these type of annoying questions you ask standing in front of your mirror? I think all women have this “Mirror, Mirror, Mirror in the wall, who is the most beautiful woman in the world?” type of question lurking inside their minds. But after being dormant for a while, when a date turns up, suddenly they pop up from nowhere.

Even though it is said for decency that the beauty lies in the beholder’s eyes, it is a truth that it starts from your face. Am I annoying while saying this? (Smiles) It is even said that beautiful/handsome people don’t get that severe punishment even in court of law compared to normal looking people convicted of the same crime. If the non partial law is this affected, imagine what effects beauty has on poor men!

But my experience with many people has taught me that, even though men ogle at sexy beautiful women, while deciding on a life time partner they value something more. No wonder why even Marlyn Monroe got ditched thrice. And thankfully, you don’t always have to be pretty to be attractive. While I was in my college we had a senior girl who was not that beautiful or sexy, but all boys died for. She had a very decent way of handling herself with people, nice gestures and peculiar ways to talk and followed elegant, stylish but non expensive dressing. She had that am-just-out-of-your-reach attitude pasted all over her actions.

You may be annoying, hot, sexy, demanding or anything you can possibly be, but know your limits. Know your positives. There are men out there looking out for decent nice women as there have always been. Believe me; men know the difference between a map and a territory very well. Ultimately, wise men don’t judge book by its cover, do they?

I wish you best of luck in bumping into a wise gentle man. [And statistics tells me that wise men are usually handsome too!] J

Gloria Gaynor & I will Survive…

I think you all know Gloria Gaynor, the famous singer. Then you know her all time hit song “I Will Survive” too. In this song the narrator speaks about the aftermath of a break up and how she survives it. It is a great song; Rolling Stones has included this as one of the 500 greatest songs ever. Just follow this link to know more. Please go through the lyrics of the song below. I think every woman should read this.

I will survive: Gloria Gaynor

First I was afraid
I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never live
without you by my side
But I spent so many nights
thinking how you did me wrong
I grew strong
I learned how to carry on
and so you’re back
from outer space
I just walked in to find you here
with that sad look upon your face
I should have changed my stupid lock
I should have made you leave your key
If I had known for just one second
you’d be back to bother me

Go on now go walk out the door
just turn around now
’cause you’re not welcome anymore
weren’t you the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye
you think I’d crumble
you think I’d lay down and die
Oh no, not I
I will survive
as long as i know how to love
I know I will stay alive
I’ve got all my life to live
I’ve got all my love to give
and I’ll survive
I will survive

It took all the strength I had
not to fall apart
kept trying hard to mend
the pieces of my broken heart
and I spent oh so many nights
just feeling sorry for myself
I used to cry
Now I hold my head up high
and you see me
somebody new
I’m not that chained up little person
still in love with you
and so you felt like dropping in
and just expect me to be free
now I’m saving all my loving
for someone who’s loving me

God, are you listening?

prayer

Do you believe in God? If you do, then do you pray to God? Do you think prayers help?

Am no guru, neither a person divinely qualified to answer these questions. But many women have asked me these Godly questions and I wish to answer them in a professional level.

Let me speak from my experiences with people. I have seen people getting greater comfort in God, which was so effective that in many cases it helped them gaining back their sanity. Leaning on to something bigger than ourselves help us through our troubled times very effectively. If you believe in God, trust him fully in your hardships. It will help you mentally in more ways you can imagine. I have seen people who have faith in God, who pray regularly, bounce back into life very fast compared to non believers.

When you pray, you open up your heart to someone without suppressing your feelings. That is very rejuvenating from the psychological point of view. In that way prayers do help. Try it. It will soothe your everyday life.

Now I think I can be a bit personal. I believe in God. Prayer has helped me through my troubled times. It worked well for me. I just wanted to let you know this.
